What about the cats?

“Can we come too?”

Our dear feline housemates have been a part of our lives for the past five years and it is hard to imagine life without them. Luckily RVing with pets is relatively doable and we’re planning on bringing Brubeck and Desmond along for the adventure!

There is a fair bit of planning and preparation on our part to help ensure that these guys have a comfortable (as is possible) transition to their new ‘adventure cat’ lifestyle. This includes getting used to being in the truck for a few hours at a time. So each day we have ‘truck training’ where we sit in the parked truck with the cats and give them ample scritches and treats. Who wouldn’t warm up to something with enough treats?

We’ll also invest in a pet monitor to go in the RV for when we are camped and leave the cats alone in the RV. This will allow us to keep tabs on the conditions inside the RV when we’re out and about and alert us should something go wrong.

We are thankful that these two silly boys get to be part of our lives and hope they won’t mind putting up with us for a bit longer! There will be treats, I promise. ;)
